My desire is to bring support and guidance for individuals seeking positive change. It is a priority to create a safe place for individuals to process and find solutions to their challenges. I strive to form an empathic relationship with clients and develop a collaborative understanding of the difficulty that brought them to therapy, and how to best serve them. We then work together to develop an understanding of how to best serve the individual’s needs. I place great emphasis on the therapeutic relationship with my clients and believe that the right personal fit is crucial to a successful therapeutic relationship that fosters greater self-awareness and personal growth.
The theoretical modalities I incorporate into the therapeutic process include experiential, cognitive behavioral, solution focused, dialectical behavioral, narrative, and mindfulness-based approaches. Work is done in a way to foster insight and understanding while working through conflicts and feelings. By processing through feelings, thoughts, and emotions, as well as building healthy coping strategies, clients empower themselves to move toward positive change in their lives.
I work with ages 12 and up, with individuals of all genders, race and sexual orientation’s and backgrounds, striving to understand each person within their surroundings socio-cultural context.
