Amye Scharlau - Stone Arch Psychology and Health Services

I believe that people have the power to change and improve their lives, and mental health therapy is a safe, supportive and confidential setting in which individuals, couples and families can work to make positive change. It is my philosophy that you know what is in your best interest; mental health therapy can help clarify, develop and put into action your personal aspirations.

Respecting an individual’s worldview is essential and I strive to provide a client centered experience using active listening and thoughtful, open-ended question to help individuals explore concerns and areas of challenge. I endeavor to help individuals build resilience and resources to assist in personal growth and discover modalities for positive change.

I value working with people of all backgrounds, including people of all races, religions, faiths, creeds, and sexual and gender orientations.

I bring my training, experience, interpersonal skills and the joy of healing into every client session. Through the use of Hypnotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, and Person-Centered approaches, I seek to aid you in finding your own positive narrative, and help you to move forward on your life path.
