Dr. Chris Turner PsyD LP
Licensed Psychologist
Therapy can be an effective way to decrease unwanted symptoms and make life changes that are positive and meaningful. If you are struggling with the symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress or other life challenges, you’ve come to the right place.
I earned my doctoral degree from the University of St. Thomas and offer a wealth of experience in the practice of psychology. My therapeutic approach is informed by a wide variety of treatment modalities including humanistic and strengths-based therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is an approach to therapy rooted in the idea that our emotional lives are deeply influenced by our thoughts and actions and vice versa. I work with adults and older teens, providing therapy aimed at overcoming anxiety, stress, depression, relationship problems and a wide range of other life challenges.
Effective therapy is tailored to meet your needs. I use a collaborative approach that is based upon authenticity, respect and an empathetic understanding of your concerns. I would like to assist you in exploring your experiences, addressing unwanted symptoms and creating lasting improvement. Early on we will work towards developing an individualized plan for treatment, and your feedback is very important in this process, therefore I will regularly seek your feedback throughout the therapeutic process. This will help us to know if your treatment is moving in the desired direction. Therapy is both challenging and rewarding and I would like to work with you to achieve your goals.
