Life can be challenging and there may be times when we lack the skills and resources to effectively manage difficulties. Mental health therapy can be a resource for developing skills and finding the tools to work through the challenges we face. My approach to providing therapy is to create a safe and welcoming environment by joining my clients in their journey, with care, understanding and empathy.
Mental health therapy is a process most everyone can benefit from. I have experience working with people from a wide range of racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, sexual and gender orientations, and political, religious and spiritual beliefs. I work with individuals ages four through senior. My theoretical approach is psychodynamic, looking at the individual as a whole through their lifespan, and understanding that our early years often play a role in our psychological development.
The treatment modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Play Therapy. These modalities help clients process their concerns, and acquire tools and resources to improve and make positive change.
