Kay Moriarty MA LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
We all face challenges in our lives. Sometimes these challenges can appear in the form of anxiety and depression, feeling disconnected from your peers, and struggling in your relationships. Sometimes we don’t have the language for our struggles and we need to seek clarity in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. Therapy can help with all of these struggles. Using a trauma-informed and solution-focused approach, I build a trusting relationship with my clients, and together we develop the skills and confidence that enable you to thrive.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), I provide therapy for children from the age of six and up, adolescents, adults, couples, and parents with systemic and intergenerational issues in mind. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Art Therapy, and Play Therapy. My areas of specialization include depression and anxiety, learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I enjoy working with a diverse array of clients, ranging in age, race, cultural background, socioeconomic status, and gender identity.
My practice is person-centered, strengths-based, and rooted in cultural competence. Therapy is a collaborative process and I will work with you to help you reach your own individualized goals. If you are looking for therapy services and think I would be a good fit, I look forward to helping you gain insight into where you’ve been, identify where you are, and prepare you for where you are going in the future.
