Therapy is a place for an individual to presence their experiences with the support of a therapist who aspires to promote the growth and development, well-being and the safety of those they work with. Life is full of opportunities and challenges including perceived disruptions, victories, stagnation and loss. I believe the client-therapist relationship is a place where individuals are able to focus on identifying and addressing goals, pain points, healing, and growth areas. I approach therapeutic relationships with a nonjudgmental and open-minded manner to find solutions for the client to discover new understandings and insights. I will join with you to discover your heart’s desire and pave a way to build your strengths and abilities, courage and fortitude to move forward in life.
I welcome individuals from all walks of life and I have experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, ages two years to older adults, including individuals of diverse stages of healing, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, religions, faiths, and creeds.
I have experience working with and treating individuals struggling with symptoms of depression, hopelessness, anxiety, stress, distress, interpersonal and intrapersonal problems, difficulties with finding one’s voice and getting your needs met, addictions; including substance use and process (such as gambling), symptoms of psychosis; including hallucinations, paranoia and delusions, mood disorders, sexuality related difficulties, trauma, and existential questions about life’s meaning and purpose.
Therapeutic approaches I specialize in are strength-based, person-centered, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Modalities I use are narrative therapy, psychodynamic, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based skills I have in my repertoire for helping individuals progress in their unfolding lives.
I meet my clients with dignity, honor and curiosity. It would be my pleasure to join you as you take steps into your healing journey.
